On 28 February 2014, Ambassador Vijavat Isarabhakdi met with Mr. Kenneth Hyatt, Acting Under Secretary for International Trade, Department of Commerce, at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Both sides shared the same objective to enhance more trade and investment between Thailand and the U.S.Ambassador Vijavat and Mr. Hyatt exchanged views and discussed various aspects on the Thai-U.S. relationship, particularly in terms of trade and investment between the two countries.
On 2-4 March 2014, Ambassador Vijavat visited the State of Florida to deliver a speech at the 24th Asian Cultural Festival in Homestead, Miami. At the event, Congressman Joe Garcia welcomed the Ambassador to his district and both visited Thai booths such as Thai Trade Center Miami, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Wat Buddharangsi, Singha Beer, Thai food stalls and Thai handicraft stalls.
