Online Reading Thai Course for Beginners at University of Hawaii-Manoa

The Thai Language Program of the Department of Indo-Pacific Languages at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) offers a Reading and Writing Thai Script course as an online distance learning course in Fall Semester 2015. This 3 credit course is open to the general public through UHM Outreach College.

Thai 107 Reading and Writing Thai Script is a completely online learner-centered “asynchronous” distance learning course, i.e., all class instruction and materials are available online for the students to access at any time, from any geographical location, with an internet connection.

The Fall 2015 term dates are from Monday, August 24, 2015 to Friday, December 18, 2015, with December 10th as the last day of instruction. The Fall 2015 application/admission deadline for the general public is August 7, 2015.

This UHM distance learning Thai language course and its interactive multimedia instructional materials has been developed with support from the Royal Thai Embassy to promote Thai language learning in the United States.

Dr. Yuphaphann Hoonchamlong, Head of Thai Language Program and Associate Professor of Thai Language at UHM, will supervise the course.
