ASEAN Family Day Washington DC 2015

ASEAN embassy members and families joined the Annual ASEAN Family Day at  Lake Fairfax Park, Reston, Virginia, on 30 May 2015.  The event was organized by ASEAN Women’s Circle Washington DC (AWCDC), Royal Thai Embassy in cooperation with ASEAN embassies in Washington DC, aimed to strengthen friendship and unity of  ASEAN community in Washington DC.

Madame Wanchana Manawapat, spouse of the Thai ambassador and the current AWC President, welcomed more than 350 ASEAN family members celebrating the family friendly gathering filled with fun games and food from ASEAN region. H.E. Mr. Pisan Manawapat, Ambassador of Thailand and Chairman of ASEAN Committee in Washington (ACW) also hosted the event as the first ACW activity under Thailand Chairmanship.

The event successfully promoted the close and cordial relations among ASEAN diplomats and families in Washington DC as well as a true sense of  ASEAN Community.
