Combating IUU fishing, illegal labor practices and human trafficking in the fisheries sector is a top national priority for Thailand. Over the past year, significant efforts have been made to undertake comprehensive reform across the board.

This panel brings together for the first time key people at the heart of this ongoing reform from policy-makers at the Command Center to Combat Illegal Fishing in Thailand to those in charge for law enforcement, labor protection and sustainable management of fisheries. The panel will provide overview of progress made so far, key reform highlights and the way forward to ensure both seafood sustainability and better working conditions in the supply chains of Thailand.

U.S. importers, government officials, civil society groups, seafood trade associations, suppliers, academia, and media are all invited to attend. The session will be open to all attendees, even those without a conference pass.
