Ambassador Pisan and Congressman Rohrabacher to further strengthen the Thai-US strategic partnership
Ambassador Pisan Manawapat met with Congressman Dana Rohrabacher from California and discussed ways to further strengthen alliance and partnership between Thailand and the United States.
Both sides agreed to work closely together to advance cooperation in areas where the two countries share mutual interest. Both also shared the view that a strong partnership between Thailand and the United States would benefit security and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific.
Ambassador Pisan expressed his gratitude to Congressman Rohrabacher’s friendship toward Thailand, especially the Congressman’s condolence letter to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand for the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej last October.
Congressman Rohrabacher, who first traveled to Thailand at the age of 19, emphasized his goodwill toward Thailand and the Thai people, and expressed his enduring admiration to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
