33 foreign Ambassadors visited Pittsburgh as part of the “Experience America” program

On May 21-23, Ambassador Pisan Manawapat along with other 32 ambassadors to the U.S. from around the world traveled to Pittsburgh as part of the U.S. State Department’s “Experience America” program.
On this trip, all the foreign ambassadors had the opportunity to learn more about how “Steel City” like Pittsburgh has transformed its economic base to education, healthcare and medicine, and technology.
Stops on the tour included visits to the National Robotics Engineering Center at Carnegie Mellon University, the Human Engineering Research Laboratories at the University of Pittsburgh and Uber Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. They also met with local government and business representatives at a reception at the Andy Warhol Museum and attended an energy panel hosted by CONSOL Energy inc. at the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning.
Experience America is one of the four programs organized by the Diplomatic Partnerships Division of U.S. State Department, aims to give foreign ambassadors the opportunity to experience the United States up close with a first-hand view of different cities and communities across America.
