A small but meaningful donation ceremony was held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington today

On October 16, 2017, the occasion, hosted by Madam Wanchana Manawapat, was to handover donations made available from the proceeds of the “AWC Charity Bazaar” organised by ASEAN Women’s Circle of Washington DC on September 9, 2017.

Donation of USD 2,352.50 was presented to Madam Kay Thi Wynn of Myanmar. This fund will be made available to support Myittar Aye Yeik Myone Youth Development Center, home to the most vulnerable children and youth across Myanmar.

Another donation of USD 2,227.50 was handed over to Madam Hoang Bich Lien of Viet Nam. The donation will be passed onto two charities in Viet Nam which are The Operation Healthy Heart Program and The Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO).

Also presented at the ceremony were DCM Pattrawan Vechasart, Madam Datin Rafiah of Brunei, Madam Sovanntevy Run of Cambodia, as well as AWC Country Coordinators from Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore.
