Heartfelt condolences for the passing of Dr. Surin Pitsuwan

The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, former Foreign Minister of Thailand and ASEAN Secretary-General who passed away peacefully on November 30, 2017.

Dr. Surin was truly a visionary leader, a passionate educator, a kind-hearted humanitarian, an accomplished diplomat who is respected worldwide, and a great inspiration to all who have come to know him. He had done so much for his beloved Thailand and ASEAN during his very accomplished life. His contributions will be remembered and his examples will continue to inspire many generations of Thais.
