Thailand begins bidding two offshore blocks in the Gulf of Thailand

The Ministry of Energy of Thailand officially opens a bid application for the right to explore and produce petroleum in the offshore Exploration Block No. G1/61 (Erawan) and G2/61 (Bongkot) in the Gulf of Thailand. Both blocks are to be explored under a production sharing contract, with a 3-year exploration period (with 3 years extendable) and 20-year production period (with 10 years extendable) starting immediately after the end of the exploration period.

 

Interested companies wishing to apply for the rights to be a production sharing contractor shall submit the pre-qualification application form by May 4, 2018 at https://bidding2018.dmf.go.th/G1/registration.php
