Ambassador Virachai explored LNG revolution in Jacksonville

On August 8, 2018, Ambassador Virachai Plasai and Mrs. Elizabeth Plasai joined Congressman Ted Yoho in a tour to explore American liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities in Jacksonville, Florida, and the surrounding areas. The program was an integral part of 2018 American LNG Summit organized for the first time by Congressman Yoho.
Ambassador Virachai visited LNG facilities and infrastructures offered at Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT), one of the nation’s busiest auto ports, and around the city of Jacksonville. JAXPORT is moving rapidly in being a hub fully equipped with LNG production plants, storage and bunkering facilities. Ambassador Virachai also visited Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway, the first North American Railroad to operate its entire mainline fleet on LNG. FEC is the only rail provider that operates along the east coast of Florida between Jacksonville and Miami, Florida.
