Ambassador welcomed Young Thai Recipients of Fall 2018 YSEALI Academic Fellowships

On November 13, 2018, Ambassador Virachai Plasai welcomed eight young Thai professionals, recipients of the U.S. Department of State’s Fall 2018 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Fellowships. The Thai YSEALI recipients visited the Embassy to share their training experiences under the YSEALI program to conclude their professional development in Environmental Sustainability, Governance and Society, Economic Empowerment and Civic Engagement.
The 13 young Thai professionals with diverse talents and professional backgrounds are among 308 fellows from 61 countries participating Fall 2018 YSEALI 5-week program; Thanyathip Chatsawat (World Vision Foundation of Thailand), Nuttapol Chumnitulakarn (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration), Chattraphon Ditthasriphon (Rights and Liberties Protection Department, Ministry of Justice), Potjaporn Joonlaoun (Australian Embassy Bangkok), Nattawut Kasem (Environmental Justice Foundation), Chairapee Liengboonlertchai (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand), Sitta Marattanachai (The Secretariat of the House of Representatives), Ekkachai Nasompong (Bureau of Special Education, Ministry of Education), Patchgorn Pattawipas (ActionAid Thailand), Tanes Rianglaem (Ministry of Education), Thanapjong Saksereephong (Ministry of Interior), Kwanpirom Sukri (Warm Heart Foundation), and Koranis Tanangsnakook (ReReef).
