Ambassador Virachai receives 2018 Diwali “Power of One” Award at UN Headquarters in New York

On December 11, 2019, Ambassador Virachai Plasai, along with former permanent representatives to the United Nations in New York from Greece, Slovenia, Azerbaijan, Vietnam and the permanent representative of Tunisia, received the 2018 Diwali “Power of One” Award at Trusteeship Council Chamber of the United Nations in New York.

Established in 2017 by Diwali Foundation USA with an aim to promoting peaceful and consensus-based process as befits hopes and ideals of humanity enshrined in the UN Charter, the “Power of One” award is bestowed upon former ambassadors and permanent representatives to the United Nations or senior officials of the United Nations who have toiled selflessly to help form a peaceful and secure world for all.
