Visa and Certificate of Entry for Non-Thai nationals who are students of formal educational establishments in Thailand approved by Thai authorities, including their parents or guardians, except for students of non-formal schools in accordance with laws on private schools or of any other similar private educational establishments

1. If the applicant does not have a valid visa or re-entry permit, the applicant must request a visa, at least 15 working days before the intended date of travel, by filling in the information and upload all required documents online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ (Please note that the visa application fee is non-refundable)

2. The Royal Thai Embassy / Consulates-General will review the application and will send an email requesting the applicant to submit the following required documents through mail to the Royal Thai Embassy (ATTN: Visa Section) or Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York:
2.1 Passport
2.2 Two passport-size photographs (2″x 2″)
2.3 Visa application form (Download) (if the applicant does not have a valid visa to enter Thailand)
2.4 Proof of flight confirmation/reservation, indicating the trip from US to Thailand.
2.5 Medical insurance guaranteeing that the insurance company will cover a minimum of 100,000 USD (or equivalent in other currencies) of medical costs incurred by the applicant in Thailand, including medical costs in the event that the applicant contracts COVID-19 (The insurance must cover the entire duration of stay in Thailand)
2.6 A confirmed reservation of Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) (Please check the list of the alternative state quarantine hotels at www.hsscovid.com or www.thaiembdc.org/asq)
2.7 A letter confirming the student’s status or admission of the student
2.8 Self-addressed return envelope and visa fee if the applicant does not have a valid visa. (Please note your own tracking number in order to track your package once the visa is being mailed back)
2.9 Other required documents (please check)
3. After receiving a visa, the applicant may request the Certificate of Entry (COE) at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/
***From 14 January 2021, all travelers who have received COEs are required to download and register via the ThailandPlus Application. They are required to show a QR code generated from the registration via the Application to be scanned by the Thai authority upon arrival in Thailand. 4. At the departure airport, the approved applicant is required to present
4.1 A “Certificate of Entry into the Kingdom of Thailand” issued by The Royal Thai Embassy.
4.2 A Medical insurance covering all expenditures of medical treatment, including COVID-19, while traveling to Thailand in an amount of at least 100,000 USD (The insurance must cover the whole duration of stay in Thailand).
4.3 A Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected, using RT-PCR test, issued no more than 72 hours before departure
5. Upon entry to Thailand,
Travelers arriving in Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic must present the following documents
5.1 COE
5.2 Medical insurance covering all expenditures of medical treatment, including COVID-19, while traveling to Thailand in an amount of at least 100,000 USD (The insurance must cover the whole duration of stay in Thailand).

6. If granted entry, traveler must go through quarantine at the Alternative State Quarantine
