Ambassador Manasvi discussed cooperation on Thai-U.S. trade and investment with U.S. – ASEAN Business Council
On February 5, 2021, Ambassador Manasvi Srisodapol virtually met Alexander Feldman, President and CEO, U.S. – ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and Mrs. Elizabeth Dugan, Vice President for Operation to exchange views on ways to promote U.S. trade and investment in Thailand.
Ambassador Manasvi stressed the importance of the Prime Minister’s priority in enhancing competitiveness and human capital development, especially in industries where Thailand already has comparative advantages, such as next-generation automobiles, tourism, agriculture & food for future, digital economy, and medical. Ambassador asked the USABC to promote members’ investment in those targeted industries and support two other key interrelated government initiatives on the national agenda, namely, the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG Economic Model).
Ambassador Manasvi also took this opportunity to ask for the USABC’s support for Thailand in hosting the APEC meeting next year for which Mr. Feldman reaffirmed the USABC’s strong support.
