Ambassador Manasvi Discussed Thailand’s Country Report on Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts with Acting Director of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons
On 10 February 2021, Ambassador Manasvi had a virtual meeting with Dr. Kari Johnstone, Acting Director of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Department of State, to discuss the strengthening of cooperation between Thailand and the United States on anti-human trafficking efforts.
Both sides discussed the recently submitted annual Report on Thailand’s Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts (1 January – 31 December 2020). Ambassador Manasvi emphasized Thailand’s determination to combat human trafficking and that Thailand has never relented our efforts to improve and make progress in combating human trafficking, despite the challenges of COVID-19.
Ambassador Manasvi and Dr. Johnstone also had fruitful discussion on how both sides could cooperate and how Thailand can further improve our efforts to effectively address the issue and agreed to maintain the momentum of cooperation and consultation with the common goal to eradicate human trafficking.
