Visa and Certificate of Entry procedures for Non-Thai nationals wishing to obtain Tourist visa (Multiple Entries)

( If you already have a valid visa/re-entry permit, please request the Certificate of Entry – COE at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/ )

1. If the applicant does not have a valid visa or re-entry permit, the applicant must request a visa, at least 15 working days before the intended date of travel, by filling in the information and upload all required documents online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ (Please note that the visa application fee is non-refundable)

2. After successfully apply with the Thai E-visa system, please download the “Appointment receipt” (Click here to see How to download Barcode from Evisa) from the system and then mail the Appointment receipt along with the following original documents directly to the Embassy / Consulates-General to request the issuance of an appropriate Visa. 

2.1 Passport

2.2 Two passport-size photographs (2″x 2″)

2.3 Visa application form (Download) (if the applicant doesn’t have a valid Thai visa)

2.4 Medical insurance guaranteeing that the insurance company will cover a minimum of 100,000 USD (or equivalent in other currencies) of medical costs incurred by the applicant in Thailand, including medical costs in the event that the applicant contracts COVID-19 (The insurance must cover the entire duration of stay in Thailand)

2.5 A confirmed reservation of 15 nights of Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) (Please check the list of the alternative state quarantine hotels at www.hsscovid.com or www.thaiembdc.org/asq)

2.6 Self-addressed return envelope and visa fee if the applicant doesn’t have a valid visa (Please note your own tracking number in order to track your package once the visa is being mailed back)

2.7 Proof of a round trip flight confirmation/reservation showing going from the US to Thailand and leaving from Thailand (The name of the applicant must be indicated clearly)

2.8 Copy of recent bank statement for the last 6 months with a minimum balance of $7,000 every month.  The name of the applicant must be indicated clearly), In case of submitting a family bank statement, proof of relationship (i.e. birth certificate, marriage certificate) must be provided.

 ***Additional Documents***

For non-US citizens
– a copy of the permanent resident alien card or a copy of valid US visa
–  a letter proof of employment ( **we don’t accept pay stubs**) or a letter proof of full-time student status. For self-employed, business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name.

For minor under 20 years old, please provide the following documents
– Copy of a birth certificate
– Copy of marriage certificate, In case of sole custody notarized copy of the court order, must be provided.
– Copy of passports or ID of mother and father/ legal guardian
– Original letter of notarized consent for the minor to travel abroad from mother and father/ legal guardian
***All supporting materials that are not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations and certified by an embassy only ***


3. After receiving a visa, the applicant may request the Certificate of Entry (COE) at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/
***From 14 January 2021, all travelers who have received COEs are required to download and register via the ThailandPlus Application. They are required to show a QR code generated from the registration via the Application to be scanned by the Thai authority upon arrival in Thailand. 4. At the departure airport, the approved applicant is required to present

4.1 A “Certificate of Entry” issued by The Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulates-General;

4.2 Medical insurance guaranteeing that the insurance company will cover a minimum of 100,000 USD (or equivalent in other currencies) of medical costs incurred by the applicant in Thailand, including medical costs in the event that the applicant contracts COVID-19 (The insurance must cover the whole duration of stay in Thailand); and

4.3 A Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected, issued no more than 72 hours before departure


5. Upon entry to Thailand,

Travelers arriving in Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic must present the following documents to be granted entry:

5.1 COE

5.2 Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected, using RT-PCR test, issued no more than 72 hours before departure

5.3 Medical insurance guaranteeing that the insurance company will cover a minimum of 100,000 US dollars (or equivalent in other currencies) of medical costs incurred by the applicant in Thailand, including medical costs in the event that the applicant contracts COVID-19 (The insurance must cover the whole duration of stay in Thailand)

6.  If granted entry, a traveler must go through 14 days of Alternative State Quarantine
