On June 30, Ambassador Manasvi had a discussion with Senator Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon) on COVID-19 pandemic and environment, especially Thailand’s efforts to address climate crisis, including banning the use of single-use plastics, tackling marine debris, and the Bio-Circular Green model for sustainable development. The Ambassador also invited Senator Merkley to lead Congressional delegation to Thailand.
The meeting was participated by Senator Merkley’s Congressional Staffers: Daphne McCurdy, Foreign Policy Advisor; Heidi Hattenbach, State Department fellow; and Julia Stone, Constituent Services Representative.
