Thai executives win the praises of business magazine

C-suite executives at one of Thailand’s top corporations and biggest banks won awards from globally respected business magazines this month, including an American publication.
Institutional Investor named four executives of Central Pattana to its 2021 All-Asia Executive Team. The U.S. business magazine gave awards to Central for Best CEO, Best CFO and Best IR (investor relations) and ranked the company second for Best ESG (environment, social, governance). The awards were for the Asian region excluding China and Japan in the sell-side category and property sector.
Central Pattana is Thailand’s largest retail, property development and investment firm. It owns and operates close to 40 shopping malls and mixed used developments across the Kingdom and is expanding into other countries.
Institutional Investor said it consulted over 4,000 analysts and evaluated executives based on business leadership, operational strategy, transparent financial information, investor relations services and communications, COVID-19 management in regard to all stakeholders, as well as environmental, social and governance development criteria.
“We focus on prudent financial management and investment plans according to the situation, while adhering to the principles of business sustainability, good governance, and social and environmental responsibility,” said Naparat Sriwanvit, Chief Financial Officer at CPN and one Thailand’s numerous top woman executives.
Meanwhile, the Asian Banker magazine, a prestigious regional publication, bestowed an award on Banthoon Lamsam, Chairman Emeritus of Kasikorn Bank for “lifetime achievement in leadership in the financial services industry.”
Banthoon is the first Thai banker to receive the award. The magazine wrote that Banthoon was instrumental in transforming Kasikorn Bank into an exemplary organization that had gained wide recognition, and the bank had proven its ability by navigating a series of crises and challenges.
