P.M. Prayuth Chan-ocha joined the 26th UNFCCC COP (COP 26) announcing Thailand’s aim to reach carbon neutrality in 2050

On 1 November 2021 H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand, joined world leaders at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties: UNFCCC COP) (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland, and addressed climate crisis and announcing Thailand’s aim to reach carbon neutrality in 2050, and net zero greenhouse gas emissions before 2065, of which Bio-Circular-Green Economic (BCG) model will help lead towards environment-friendly economic development.

During the Conference, Prime Minister Prayut also had opportunities to meet with a number of leaders, including President Joe Biden.
