Ambassador Manasvi met with Deputy U.S. Trade Representative to strengthen Thai-U.S. economic relations

 

On December 15, 2021 Ambassador Manasvi Srisodapol, together with Minister Noppadon Kuntamas (Commercial Affairs) and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, met with Ms. Sarah Bianchi, Deputy U.S. Trade Representative for Asia and Africa at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).

On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to promote Thai-U.S. economic cooperation during Thailand’s APEC host year in 2022. Ambassador Manasvi asked for support from the U.S. Government on the renewal of the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) as well as expressed Thailand’s readiness to work with the U.S. to enhance Thailand- U.S. cooperation on supply chains.
