Ambassador Manasvi Strengthened Thai-Houston Trade and Investment Relations

On 29 August 2022, Ambassador Manasvi Srisodapol hosted a business lunch for representatives from the public and private sector in Houston, including Mr. Christopher Olson, Director, Trade and International Affairs, City of Houston, Mr. Bob Harvey, President and CEO of Greater Houston Partnership and Mr. Marty E. Goosen, Vice Chairman of Asia Society in Houston. The lunch was also joined by Mr. Charles C. Foster, Thai Honorary Consul-General, Houston.

On this occasion, Ambassador Manasvi provided an update on the investment of Thai companies in Houston, including PTT, Indorama, Banpu and Charoen Pokphand Group, emphasizing the readiness of Thai companies to further expand their investments in the city.

The Ambassador also invited U.S. companies to explore investment opportunities in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in Thailand, especially in the energy and medical industries in which Houston-based companies have great potential. Moreover, both sides exchanged views on joint activities between Thailand and the City of Houston to celebrate 190^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the U.S. next year.
