Senator Tammy Duckworth spoke on the floor of the United States Senate to commemorate the 190th Anniversary of Thailand – U.S. Diplomatic Relations

On 15 March 2023, Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Chair of Subcommittee on Aviation Safety, Operations, and Innovation, Committee on Armed Services and Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, spoke on the floor of the U.S. Senate to commemorate the 190th Anniversary of Thailand – U.S. Diplomatic Relations. In her speech, Senator Duckworth emphasized the long history of friendship between the two countries that for centuries have learned from and leaned on each other militarily, diplomatically, economically, and culturally. From the environment to economies, national security to cybersecurity, we have helped one another grow and evolve.

Senator Duckworth also said “Our nations have proven that there is no greater asset than a partner you can count on in times of both peace and conflict”
