Ambassador Tanee participates in the opening of CP’s shrimp farm in Indiantown, Florida
On 29 March 2023, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., and a staff from the Embassy attended the grand opening of “Homegrown Shrimp USA” farm in Indiantown, Florida. The delegation was received by Mr. Anat Julintron, CEO of CPF North America, Mr. Robin McIntoch, CEO of Homegrown Shrimp USA, Mr. Ampon Asuwapongpatana, VP- U.S., EU and UK Business and CP Group’s executives and staff.
Ambassador Tanee lauded CP’s business operations in the U.S. which range from frozen and ready-to-eat food production to swine farming and processing. This has made CP one of the largest and fastest-growing frozen food manufacturers in North America.
Ambassador Tanee commended the achievement of the Homegrown Shrimp USA project which reflects CP’s commitment to advancing the way shrimps are cultivated with zero waste discharged to the environment, compatible with the Bio-Circular-Green Economy Model (BCG) of Thailand.
Homegrown Shrimp USA is developed by CP with the aim to raise the standard of shrimp production in the U.S. with the least impact on the environment. This prototype farm model can be replicated to other parts of the country.
