Ambassador Tanee Visits Wat Nawamintararachutis

On 7 April 2023, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, together with Mrs. Cholatip Kambhu Sangrat, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Senior Colonel Pattana Punmongkol, Defense and Military Attaché, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy paid respects to Phra Bhavanawachirawidesa V., the First Vice President of Wat Nawamintararachutis during the Embassy’s visit to Boston, Massachusetts.

Ambassador Tanee visited Wat Nawamintararachutis which is one of the most important spiritual centers for Thai communities in the Boston area, offering Buddhist and meditation courses. Ambassador Tanee and his delegation also visited the Buddhist Thai Sunday School at the temple which provides classes in Thai culture, including Thai language, Thai dances and Traditional Thai music for both Thais and foreigners. On this occasion, Ambassador Tanee and the officials from the Embassy practiced meditation with Phramaha Boonyod Thanakavesako.

Wat Nawamintararachutis is situated in Raynham, Massachusetts. The temple was built in 2006 to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the accession of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great to the throne who was also born at Cambridge Hospital (now Mount Auburn Hospital) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
