Ambassador Tanee attended 2023 SelectUSA

On 2 May 2023, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, attended 2023 SelectUSA, which was organized during 1-4 May 2023 at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.

Ambassador Tanee led representatives of Thai companies participating in 2023 SelectUSA, including PTTGC America, Nabsolute and Baiya Phytopharm, in the meeting with Ms. Diane Farrell, Deputy Under Secretary for International Trade, Department of Commerce. Ambassador Tanee emphasized his determination to encourage the participation of Thai companies in this important exhibition   while Ms. Farrell expressed her appreciation to the Thai participants as this occasion offered a unique opportunity for the attendees to gain a comprehensive understanding of investment opportunity in the U.S.

On this occasion, the Ambassador attended the regional SelectUSA Tech pitching held at the event in support of Asst. Prof. Jittima Luckanagul, Ph.D., CPO and Co-Founder of Nabsolute who was the winner of the SelectUSA Tech APEC Summit Pitching Competition in Bangkok earlier this year.

Ambassador Tanee also took this opportunity to visit booths of various states in the U.S. to discuss investment incentives offered by each state for the benefit of future Thai investors including startups.

SelectUSA is the highest-profile annual event dedicated to promoting FDI in the U.S. organized by the U.S. Commercial Service, Department of Commerce.  With more than 3,000 attendees, the participant will have a chance to meet business investors and industry experts who can help provide insights and advices on how to do business and invest in the U.S. as well as representatives from federal and economic development agencies representing the U.S. states and territories to discuss comprehensive investment incentives and advantages.
