Royal Thai Embassy’s Flower arrangement captivates visitors at Flower Mart 2023 with floral artistry

On 5 May 2023, Minister Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Deputy Chief of Mission, represented the Ambassador at the Opening Ceremony of Flower Mart 2023 at the Washington National Cathedral, with the Mayor of D.C., Executives of the Cathedral, and diplomatic corps present.

The Embassy’s floral arrangement was themed “190th Anniversary of Thailand – U.S. Diplomatic Relations”, presented at the event as a tribute to the deep and enduring ties between the people of Thailand and the U.S.  The beautiful and intense hues of the Thai orchids were used to signify the strong bonds of the Thai and Thai-American communities with their host country as well as their contribution to the U.S. They also represent the strong love and respect for the culture and diversity of the two countries.

The Flower Mart this year was held during 5-6 May 2023 under the Passport DC – Flowers Around the World Program of Cultural Tourism DC. Embassies around Washington D.C. were invited to display floral arrangements promoting each country’s cultures and nature inside the Washington National Cathedral, as part of many other activities including a historic carousel, flower and tree booths, merchandise booths, live performances, and a children’s game area.
