Ambassador Tanee Sangrat explores cooperation with executives of the City of Mount Airy and Surry County, together with North Carolina State Senator and Representatives.

On 14 July 2023, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat, met with Mayor Jon Cawley of Mount Airy, together with executives of the City of Mount Airy and Surry County, and North Carolina State Senator and Representatives, prior to attending the 33rd Annual Reunion of the Descendants of the Siamese Twins.

Both sides explored ways to strengthen cooperation, especially in concretizing sister city relationship between the City of Mount Airy and Samut Songkhram Province as guided by the MOU on the establishment of sister city relationship that was signed in 2019. Both sides also exchanged views on ways to promote business opportunities and economic cooperation at city, county, and state levels, in areas encompassing clean energy, technology and innovation, advanced manufacturing, and startups.
