Royal Thai Embassy in Washington D.C. can legalize documents which are originally issued in the Royal Thai Embassy’s jurisdiction ONLY, which are

1) Texas 2) Florida 3) Georgia 4) Maryland 5) Virginia 6) West Virginia 7) Delaware 8) Alabama 9) Tennessee 10) Louisiana 11) Mississippi 12) South Carolina 13) North Carolina and 14) District of Columbia 15) Puerto Rico

General Information
According to the regulation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Royal Thai Embassy is authorized to legalization documents bearing the Seal of the United States Department of State in Washington D.C. only. (We do not accept “Apostille”)

2. Original documents bearing the Seal of the United States Department of State in Washington D.C.
3.  A copy of every page of the original documents with the Seal of the United States Department of State in Washington D.C.

Processing Fee:
Legalization processing fee is $15 per document (per seal of Department of State)
payable in money order or cashier’s check made payable to “The Royal Thai Embassy”
NO CASH, NO PERSONAL and BUSINESS CHECKS ACCEPTED

Processing Time:
Applying by mail: Applications are usually processed approximately within 14 business days from the time of receipt (not including mailing time)
U.S. Postal mail entering The Royal Thai Embassy must go through a screening process which may delay the time in which we will receive the document.
Pick Up Methods:

Applicant will receive documents back by these following methods:
1. Mail service, Applicant must include self-address return envelope by these following mail service (Domestic address ONLY)
1.1 Next-day Express Mail (US Post Office) with $28.75 postage stamp (Metered stamps will not be accepted)
1.2 FedEx or UPS with a prepaid air bill or account number and envelop***The Royal Thai Embassy do not accept any responsibility for any damage or loss***
