Who is eligible to obtain a Thai ID Card
abroad?

Thai nationals who would like to renew their ID card (expired / lost / damaged / change of name or address)

Note:  
1. An applicant’s name MUST not be in the Central house registration.
2. An applicant’s personal information MUST match with the official central database of the Ministry of Interior.
3. An applicant who has never been issued a Thai ID card is not eligible to obtain a Thai ID card abroad. The applicant may apply for their first ID in Thailand. The information can be found at Click here

How to obtain?

1. Submit the application in person at the consular section, Royal Thai Embassy, 2300 Kalorama Rd NW, Washington, D.C. 20008 during business hours (9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., Monday to Friday except Embassy’s holidays). An applicant may make an online appointment at “Online Booking”.

2. Mobile Consular Services the Royal Thai Embassy will provide consular services in different states. An applicant may check the schedule and make an online appointment through the Embassy’s website under “Mobile Consular Services 2020”.
